  • Passing score: 85% (at least 68 of 80 correct)
  • Based on: The Scrum Guide, 2020 edition

What’s on the PSM I cheat sheet

  • Understanding & Applying the Scrum Framework (~70%) empiricism and the three pillars, the five Scrum Values, and how the accountabilities, events, and artifacts fit together — the dominant focus area.
  • Developing People and Teams (~15%) self-management, cross-functionality, servant leadership, and how the Scrum Master coaches the team, Product Owner, and organization.
  • Managing Products with Agility (~15%) Product Backlog management, the Product Goal, value over output, forecasting, and the Definition of Done as a quality gate.

How to use it in your final week

  • Memorize the event time-boxes cold — Sprint Planning max 8 hours, Daily Scrum 15 minutes, Sprint Review max 4 hours, Sprint Retrospective max 3 hours, for a one-month Sprint.
  • Drill the artifact-to-commitment pairings until they're automatic: Product Backlog to Product Goal, Sprint Backlog to Sprint Goal, Increment to Definition of Done.
  • Re-read the accountabilities section the morning of the assessment — who owns what (Scrum Master serves, Product Owner maximizes value, Developers build the Increment) decides most scenario questions.
  • Pair each review pass with a short timed set (80 questions in 60 minutes is roughly 45 seconds each) so your pacing matches the real clock.

The cheat sheet is your review layer — your PSM I practice test drives the exam-readiness ring at the top of this page. Download it, review, then take a full practice exam (or drill with the study guide and flashcards) to see where you stand.
