Free study materials aren't really free if some people can't use them. Career Employer aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, across the site.
What we build for
- Semantic structure — proper headings, landmarks, real HTML tables for data, and breadcrumb navigation on every page.
- Keyboard access — interactive study tools (practice exams, flashcards, quizzes) are operable without a mouse, with ARIA labels and dialog semantics on modals and menus.
- Readable by design — high-contrast text, scalable layouts that work with browser zoom, and no horizontal scrolling on mobile.
- Alternatives to visuals — descriptive alt text on informative images, and data presented as crawlable HTML rather than images wherever possible.
Known limitations
Some highly interactive study tools (timed exam simulations, drag-and-match flashcard games) are harder to make fully equivalent for every assistive technology. Where a tool falls short, the same study content is always available in an accessible form on the page (question lists, tables, and text explanations).
