Concrete floors aren’t as frequently used as they once were.

Nonetheless, many people still prefer them, particularly in their patios or rooms closer to the outside of the house.

Maintaining this type of flooring was never simple, which is why we are going to discuss and review the best robot vacuums for concrete floors.

While maintaining concrete floors takes patience, commitment, and a bit of extra effort, it can be much easier with the proper vacuum.

The right robot vacuum can not only help you to maintain concrete floor cleanliness but can also be used interchangeably on hardwood and carpet flooring.

When it comes to choosing the best robot vacuum for concrete floors, we looked at a slew of different robot vacuums currently on the market.

Although most robot vacuums do not specify the overall strength on concrete floors, we opted to test ones that were particularly strong on hardwood floors.

While this is not an exact one-to-one comparison, hardwood floors are by far much more popular in most modern homes.

Testing robot vacuums that work well on hardwood floors was then the best option and the closest direct comparison.

Lastly, with regards to testing and reviewing the best robot vacuums for concrete floors, we noted that many businesses and office locations utilize concrete flooring for their needs.

This is because concrete flooring provides a unique shine and durability which is preferred where a lot of foot traffic occurs.

iRobot Roomba S9 with Automatic Dirt Disposal

By far the best overall robot vacuum, the iRobot Roomba S9 with Automatic Dirt Disposal is the latest and greatest from the original robot vacuum manufacturer.

The iRobot Roomba S9 takes robot vacuuming to a new level with automatic dirt disposal which ensures that your Roomba is clean and ready to go no matter what.

The automatic dirt disposal can hold up to 60-days of dirt and debris before needing cleaning.

This robot vacuum can also learn and map your house, so it can differentiate and schedule cleaning for your kitchen or for your living room.

The iRobot Roomba S9 is also always learning and adapting to your behavior and needs.

It can also smart charge and resume, allowing for the vacuum to recharge for the amount of time needed to complete cleaning before returning to the home base.

But for this particular article, the iRobot Roomba S9 was by far the best robot vacuum for concrete floors.

Not only was the vacuum able to effectively traverse concrete flooring but it has powerful suctioning to pull up dirt and debris that may be stuck between concrete crevices.

In testing on concrete floors, we noted that the vacuum did move at a slightly slower pace than usual.

However, after a number of reruns and attempts, the Roomba was able to run at normal speed and without any hitches.

Neato Robotics D7 Connected Laser Guided Robot Vacuum

We were initially drawn into this robot vacuum due to its laser-guided features.

Not as recognizable or noticeable as the Roomba, the Neato Robotics D7 Connected Laser Guided Robot Vacuum faces a slight uphill battle for the hearts and minds of consumers.

Now, what we really like about the Neato Robotics D7 is the ‘D’ shaped design.

This design is rounded on one end and straight on the other end, allowing for the robot to reach corners and hard-to-reach areas.

This definitely gives it a leg-up as compared to the Roomba, which is rounded in design and has difficulty traversing and fully cleaning corners.

In addition to the overall design, this robot vacuum is guided by lasers, allowing the Neato to navigate your home in straight lines rather than random patterns, allowing for a more clean and efficient system.

With a 70% larger brush, the Neato is able to remove and clear debris and pet hair more effectively.

With regards to its ability to clean concrete surfaces, the Neato is second-to-none.

We noticed no discernible difference between cleaning hardwood, carpet, or concrete flooring material.

In fact, the Neato cleaned nearly as well on concrete surfaces as it did on hardwood or carpet.

Overall, a very good alternative to the Roomba, particularly if you are looking for something a bit more affordable.

Shark ION Robot Vacuum R87

The Shark brand is no stranger to the vacuum industry and is one of the main reasons we opted to test out their robotic vacuum.

An intermediate model, the Shark ION Robot Vacuum R87 brings the efficiency of Shark vacuums to a robotic one.

With built-in Wi-Fi and voice-activated settings, this vacuum can be started by voice, touch, or in-app.

Now, with regards to cleaning on concrete surfaces, this robotic vacuum has three different brush types for one powerful clean.

The tri-brush system combines side brushes, channel brushes, and multi-surface brush roll to handle dirt and debris on any and all surfaces.

This means that this robotic vacuum works wonderfully on concrete and hard surfaces.

With a 90-minute runtime and an extra-large bin, the Shark ION R87 is capable of handling most jobs.

With improved suction and more deep-cleaning abilities, you’ll no longer need to run this vacuum twice over to ensure all the dirt and debris are picked up.

Definitely one of our favorite robot vacuums for the home and office.

When it comes to the best robot vacuums for concrete floors for your home or office, we highly recommend going with the iRobot Roomba S9.

iRobot has years of experience in robotic vacuums and their quality shines through with every one of their products.

However, you should not overlook the Neato or the Shark robotic vacuums either.

Those vacuums have definitely made an impact on the overall industry and are equally capable of cleaning and performance on hardwood, carpet, and concrete surfaces.
