What’s on the SAT cheat sheet
- Reading and Writing — 54 Q (64 min) — the four domains — Standard English Conventions (~28%), Craft and Structure (~26%), Information and Ideas (~26%), and Expression of Ideas (~20%) — with the grammar, vocabulary, and rhetoric rules each one tests.
- Math — 44 Q (70 min) — the four domains — Algebra (~34%), Advanced Math (~34%), Problem-Solving and Data Analysis (~18%), and Geometry and Trigonometry (~14%) — with the core formulas and the grid-in response format.
- Timing & module map — all four separately timed modules, the section-adaptive routing between modules, and the 10-minute break, laid out so you can pace each section confidently.
- Scoring & strategy — the 400–1600 scale, section percentiles, rights-only scoring (no guessing penalty), superscoring, and the on-screen graphing calculator allowed across all of Math.
How to use it in your final week
- Front-load Math's Algebra and Advanced Math — together they carry about two-thirds of the 44 Math questions, so mastering the sheet's formula lines there moves your score most.
- Burn in the timing map: Reading and Writing is two 32-minute modules (64 min), Math is two 35-minute modules (70 min), with a 10-minute break between the sections.
- Re-read the Standard English Conventions rules the night before — grammar and punctuation are the most learnable points in Reading and Writing and the fastest to lock in.
- Pair every review pass with a short timed drill from the practice test so the section-adaptive pacing feels routine, then scan the sheet one last time on test-day morning.
The cheat sheet is your review layer — your SAT practice test drives the exam-readiness ring at the top of this page. Download it, review, then take a full practice exam (or drill with the study guide and flashcards) to see where you stand.
SAT cheat sheet FAQ
Yes — the Digital SAT cheat sheet downloads as a PDF with no sign-up and no email required. It sits alongside Career Employer's free SAT practice test, study guide, and flashcards, so your whole prep stack costs nothing.
It condenses the highest-yield facts across both scored sections — the four Reading and Writing domains and the four Math domains — plus the timing map for all four modules, the 400–1600 scoring scale, and the rights-only guessing rule. Everything is organized so you can scan a section and recall it fast.
No — the SAT has no passing score. It reports a 400–1600 scaled score built from a Reading and Writing score and a Math score of 200–800 each, plus percentiles that show how you rank against other test-takers. A good score is whatever meets or beats the admitted-student range at your target colleges.
It's built from the College Board's current Digital SAT structure, section content, and scoring pages, and we review it against those sources regularly. Every fact reflects the digital, section-adaptive test delivered in the Bluebook app, not the retired paper SAT.
Click the download button or the preview card at the top of this page and the PDF opens instantly. Bookmark the page so you can pull the sheet back up for a final scan the morning of your test.
