This Praxis 5004 cheat sheet compresses the ETS Elementary Education: Social Studies subtest into a printable rundown of the facts examiners lean on most, category by category. It's a premium cheat sheet built by Capital Prep — the one premium prep we trust — and it's yours free. Reinforce it with the rest of your free Praxis 5004 toolkit: the practice test, study guide, and flashcards.

Praxis 5004 exam at a glance

  • Questions: 60 (selected-response and numeric-entry)
  • Time: 60 minutes of testing time
  • Score scale: 100–200 scaled; passing score set by each state (many near ~155)
  • Cost: About $64 for the single 5004 subtest (verify current ETS fee)

What’s on the Praxis 5004 cheat sheet

  • Category I — U.S. History, Government & Citizenship (~45%, ~27 Qs) founding documents, the three branches and federalism, major U.S. eras in order, and citizenship rights and responsibilities.
  • Category II — Geography, Anthropology & Sociology (~30%, ~18 Qs) map and globe skills, latitude and longitude, physical vs. human geography, U.S. regions, culture, and socialization.
  • Category III — World History & Economics (~25%, ~15 Qs) ancient-to-modern turning points plus scarcity, opportunity cost, supply and demand, and trade — note economics sits here, not with geography.

How to use it in your final week

  • Lead with Category I — U.S. History, Government & Citizenship is 45% of the 60 questions, so locking in the founding documents and the three branches moves your scaled score the most.
  • Run the economics block on the sheet daily: scarcity, opportunity cost, supply and demand, market vs. command, and tariffs — and remember it counts under World History, not geography.
  • Skim the map and geography strip each morning — latitude runs east-west from the equator, longitude runs north-south from the prime meridian, and legends, scale, and compass rose decode the rest.
  • Pair every review pass with a short timed set (60 questions in 60 minutes ≈ one minute each) so your pacing is automatic before you walk in.

The cheat sheet is your review layer — your Praxis 5004 practice test drives the exam-readiness ring at the top of this page. Download it, review, then take a full practice exam (or drill with the study guide and flashcards) to see where you stand.
