FAA Part 107 exam at a glance

  • Questions: 60 multiple-choice
  • Time: 2 hours
  • Passing score: 70% (42 of 60 correct)
  • Cost: $175 at a PSI testing center; recurrent training required every 24 months

What’s on the FAA Part 107 cheat sheet

  • Regulations (15-25%) Part 107 operating rules, waivers, remote pilot certificate requirements, and airman responsibilities.
  • Airspace & Requirements (15-25%) airspace classes A-G, sectional chart reading, LAANC authorization, and NOTAMs & TFRs.
  • Weather & Micrometeorology (11-16%) METARs and TAFs, density altitude, wind, fog, and how weather affects small UAS performance.
  • Operations & Loading (35-45%) crew resource management, aeronautical decision-making, physiology, and weight & balance — the largest area.

How to use it in your final week

  • Drill sectional chart symbols until they're automatic — solid magenta = Class E to the surface, dashed magenta = Class E at 700 ft AGL, blue rings = Class B/C/D.
  • Front-load Operations & Loading (35-45% of the exam). If you master one area from the sheet, make it this one.
  • Read the sheet the morning of the test for a final pass on the memory hooks — 400 ft AGL limit, LAANC airspace, 100 mph max groundspeed, and 3-mile minimum visibility.
  • Don't cram in isolation — pair each review pass with a short timed practice set (60 questions in 2 hours ≈ 2 min each) to keep your pacing sharp.

The cheat sheet is your review layer — your FAA Part 107 practice test drives the exam-readiness ring at the top of this page. Download it, review, then take a full practice exam (or drill with the study guide and flashcards) to see where you stand.
