What’s on the Civil Service Exam cheat sheet
- Verbal Ability (~25%) — grammar and correct usage, synonyms and antonyms, sentence completion, word analogies, paragraph organization, and reading comprehension.
- Numerical Ability (~25%) — operations with fractions, decimals, and percentages, word problems, ratio and proportion, number series, and data interpretation.
- Analytical Ability (~25%, Professional only) — word association, logic and syllogisms, valid vs. invalid moves, logical sequencing, and hidden assumptions.
- General Information (~25%) — the 1987 Constitution and Bill of Rights, RA 6713 and the eight norms, peace and human rights, and the environmental laws.
How to use it in your final week
- Since every subtest folds into one 80.00% general rating, spend your last week lifting your weakest one — that moves your overall score the fastest.
- Drill the General Information block until it is automatic: Bill of Rights = Article III, the 8 norms of RA 6713, the SALN, and RA 9003 / 8749 / 9275 are the most predictable free points.
- Make Numerical reflexes sharp — fraction-decimal-percent equivalents and the number-series order of attack (differences, then ratios, then squares and Fibonacci) win the timed section.
- Read the sheet the morning of the CSE-PPT for a final pass, and remember there is no penalty for guessing, so plan to answer all 170 items.
The cheat sheet is your review layer — your Civil Service Exam practice test drives the exam-readiness ring at the top of this page. Download it, review, then take a full practice exam (or drill with the study guide and flashcards) to see where you stand.

It boils the Professional-level CSE-PPT down to its four subtests — Verbal Ability, Numerical Ability, Analytical Ability, and General Information — plus the numbers you must not forget: 170 items, a 190-minute limit, and an 80.00% general rating to pass. Each block is a quick-reference cram card, not a full lesson.
Yes. The same Verbal, Numerical, and General Information facts apply to the 165-item Sub-Professional level; the one difference is that Sub-Professional drops Analytical Ability and leans harder on clerical operations. The passing rating is 80.00% at both levels.
No — the sheet is a last-mile review layer, not a substitute for reps. Because all four subtests fold into one combined rating, you still need timed practice to build speed on Numerical items and to memorize the Constitution and RA 6713 facts cold. Use the sheet to lock facts in, then confirm readiness on full practice tests.
Tap the download button or the preview card at the top of this page and the PDF opens instantly — nothing to fill out. Bookmark the page so you can pull it back up the morning of your CSE-PPT for one final pass over the memory hooks.
