Wonderlic Flashcard Study Modes

Flip mode is the plain study pass: read the front, check the meaning, move on. Type asks you to read a definition and produce the term, which is where a front like Quell earns its keep. How to Get the Most Out of These Flashcards

  • Start with Verbal Reasoning. It is 124 of the 273 cards, so progress there moves your overall recall the most, and word meanings fade fastest without repeated contact.
  • Type-drill the vocabulary fronts. Cards like Abate and Quell are the ones you will blank on, and producing the term from its definition is much harder than recognizing it.
  • Use Match for the fast factual cards. The General Knowledge calendar items and the Logic & Reasoning scoring terms pair quickly, so timed matching builds the speed those items reward.
  • Move to the practice test once recall holds. When the Numerical Reasoning sequence cards such as 1, 3, 9, 27, … come without hesitation, full-length timed work is the better use of your session.
  • Work in small rotations. Take one domain per sitting rather than all 273 cards at once, then finish each session with a short Quiz pass mixing the domains you already covered.
