This FP-C cheat sheet distills the IBSC Certified Flight Paramedic blueprint into a printable rundown of the facts examiners test most — flight physiology, airway, cardiac, and trauma. It's a premium cheat sheet built by Capital Prep — the one premium prep we trust — and it's yours free. Reinforce it with the rest of your free FP-C toolkit: the practice test, study guide, and flashcards.

FP-C exam at a glance

  • Questions: 135 total (110 scored + 25 unscored pilot)
  • Time: 2.5 hours (150 minutes)
  • Passing score: 73 of 110 scored items correct (criterion-referenced pass/fail)
  • Cost: ~$285 affiliate / $385 non-member — verify at ibscertifications.org; valid 4 years

What’s on the FP-C cheat sheet

  • Airway, Anesthesia & Analgesics (15%) the largest domain — LEMON, the 7 P's of RSI, induction and paralytic choices, and ventilator settings by pathology.
  • Cardiac & Medical Emergencies (13% each) 12-lead and STEMI rules, right-sided ECG and the no-nitro caution, shock and circulatory support, sepsis, DKA, and toxicology.
  • Trauma/Burn (12%) & Neurological (11%) the lethal triad, permissive hypotension, TXA, tension pneumothorax, the Parkland formula, TBI neuroprotection, and Cushing's triad.
  • Flight Physiology & Safety (6% + 8%) the gas laws, four hypoxia types, stressors of flight, landing-zone and CRM rules — the material unique to the FP-C.
  • Maternal/Neonatal & Pediatric (7% + 8%) left lateral tilt, APGAR, neonatal resuscitation, the 4-2-1 fluid rule, and the Broselow tape.
  • Professional Considerations (6%) legal, ethical, and end-of-life issues plus CAMTS accreditation and GAMUT quality metrics.

How to use it in your final week

  • Burn the gas laws into memory: Boyle (trapped gas expands on ascent — pneumothorax, bowel, ET cuff), Dalton (partial pressure of O2 drops), Henry (decompression sickness). Boyle's is the single most-tested.
  • Front-load airway (15%, the largest domain) plus cardiac and medical emergencies (13% each) — over 40% of scored items live in those three, so protect them first.
  • Run the four hypoxia types and the flight stressors as a daily flash pass — hypoxic, hypemic (CO gives a falsely high SpO2), stagnant, histotoxic.
  • Pair every sheet review with a short timed practice set so 135 questions in 150 minutes (about 66 seconds each) feels routine before test day.

The cheat sheet is your review layer — your FP-C practice test drives the exam-readiness ring at the top of this page. Download it, review, then take a full practice exam (or drill with the study guide and flashcards) to see where you stand.
